Inside Performance Pressure Workshop

If you’ve ever wondered:

  • "Why do I always sound better in practice than performance?"
  • "Why do I feel like my technique is gone under pressure?"
  • "Why does more preparation not solve this?"
  • "Why does performance feel emotionally exhausting?"

This workshop is for you.

Introducing

INSIDE PERFORMANCE PRESSURE

Understand the hidden pattern behind performance anxiety or why your best playing doesn't always show up

Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 5-6 pm (Mountain Time) • Online Workshop

This workshop offers a different way to understand what performers often call anxiety, nerves, perfectionism, burnout, self-doubt, or “getting in your own head.”

Because what if performance anxiety isn’t random?

What if your training has taught skills that work beautifully in practice… but unintentionally create patterns that work against you under pressure?

What if the missing piece isn’t motivation, confidence, or more effort——but a skillset your body was never taught?

In this workshop, you’ll discover:

Performance anxiety follows patterns.

Your reactions under pressure are predictable.

Training can unintentionally condition anxiety loops.

Many musicians learn to achieve through effort, control, correction, and intensity. Those strategies can become unreliable when the stakes rise.

Pressure changes coordination and self-regulation.

Under performance conditions, your breathing, timing, attention, muscle tone, and sense of control can shift dramatically.

Trying harder can backfire.

More effort often creates more interference—not because you lack discipline, but because pressure changes the conditions of performance.

There is a missing embodied skillset.

Staying connected to your technique under performance pressure is an embodied skillset... a skillset most performers were never taught.

This workshop is for performers who:

  • Feel prepared but inconsistent
  • Experience anxiety, perfectionism, overthinking, or shutdown under pressure
  • Feel disconnected from their body while performing
  • Are tired of being told to “just relax” or “be confident”
  • Want reliability—not perfection

What you’ll leave with:

  • A new understanding of why performance feels different than practice
  • A framework for understanding performance pressure
  • Immediate awareness tools you can begin using
  • Hope that performance can become more reliable

Not because you become fearless.
But because you learn to work with pressure differently.
